Abigail “Abby” Schuhmacher joined Taggart & Taggart in 2022 shortly after graduating top of her class from Pioneer High School.  Abby grew up in Northern Nevada and has always had an interest in the environment and law.

Abby is finishing up her degree in Paralegal Law at Truckee Meadows Community College before heading to the University of Nevada, Reno to further pursue a degree in Environmental Studies.  A passion for the environment has led Abby to seek a career in water law to protect interests in our most precious natural resources.

At Taggart & Taggart, Abby has assisted on numerous cases that have been argued in front of the State Engineer, Nevada District Courts, Federal Court, and the Nevada Supreme Court.  She frequently assists in cases involving real property disputes, water adjudication, and contractual matters.  She is well versed in title and legal research and utilizes these skills to collaborate with attorneys on a wide range of client matters.

Outside of the office her interests include snowboarding, reading, and exploring coffee shops and thrift stores alike.
